Chengdu Sixth People 's Hospital is a national tertiary general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, rehabilitation, preventive health care and emergency first aid. It has won honorary titles such as ' Top Ten City Hospitals in Sichuan Province ' and ' Chengdu Model Unit '. It is the National Baby-Friendly Hospital and the first batch of elderly friendly hospitals in Sichuan Province. It is a member of the National Chest Pain Center, the Stroke Center of the tertiary hospital, and the China Trauma Treatment Alliance. It is the first municipal medical institution in Sichuan Province to pass the fifth level of electronic medical records.
The hospital was founded in 1946, formerly known as the ' Chinese Surgical Hospital ', which was renamed the ' Chengdu Workers ' Hospital ' and renamed the Chengdu Sixth People 's Hospital in 1984. In 2020, the 11th People 's Hospital of Chengdu ( the former Railway Sub-bureau Hospital ) will be integrated as a whole. The hospital is now the teaching base and master 's joint training point of Southwest Medical University, Zunyi Medical University, Chengdu Medical College and other medical colleges.
